Sidamo is one of the three trademarked coffee regions of Ethiopia — and arguably the country's largest specialty-coffee origin. Grown in the southern highlands, Sidamo coffees are prized for balance: bright fruit without sharpness, full body without heaviness, complexity that stays clear from first sip to last.

What to expect in the cup

• Notes: Red currant, floral, tea-like
• Body: Medium, smooth
• Best for: pour-over, filter, AeroPress, light-roast espresso

A single-origin Ethiopian Arabica. If you're new to Ethiopian coffee, Sidamo is the most welcoming place to start.
