Venue
A working café by day. Your dining room by night.
Four cafés in Vilnius. Each one can be booked privately for dinners, ceremonies, launches, weddings, corporate evenings — or any reason that wants food, coffee, and a conversation that doesn't compete with background music. We close the room. We cook. We pour.
Eskedar Coffee Bar
The room at Pilies 26 is what an old Vilnius merchant house...
On the site of Baltasis Štralis
Our flagship café sits inside Signatarų namai, the building where Lithuania's Act of Independence was signed on 16 February 1918 — and where the café Baltasis Štralis opened in 1852 and ran for almost a hundred years. Founded by the merchant Karolis Štralis, it was Vilnius's most beloved café-confectionery of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries: the room where landlords, doctors, lawyers, priests, university professors, and poets argued over coffee, chocolate, and the morning papers from Paris.
The Act of Independence was signed two floors above the café on 16 February 1918. The café served downstairs that day. It closed in the 1940s.
The Lithuanian National Museum reopened the café in 2021 with a tender to restore the spirit of Baltasis Štralis. That tender is ours. Eskedar Coffee is the contemporary continuation of Vilnius's oldest café address — in the same room, on the same street, with the same window onto Pilies.
Eskedar Coffee and Books
Four doors down from the flagship, on the same Pilies street. A smaller, quieter café built around books, daylight, and conversation. Best for daytime gatherings and early evening readings — the kind of event that wraps up before the Old Town gets loud.
Eskedar Coffee Terrace
An outdoor terrace with a small stage and an outdoor bar — the only one of our cafés that can take a band, a speech, or a toast with a microphone. Open from late spring through early autumn. Best for warm evenings, summer parties, and anything that wants the sky as a ceiling.
Eskedar Coffee Flow
The biggest of the four. Built for tempo — quick coffees, faster pours, people moving between meetings. Holds up to 300 standing, which makes it our only café that can take a real reception. The right room for product launches, agency parties, and conferences looking for an after-event.
