Coffee Ceremony
One of the oldest hospitality traditions in the world. Three brews from one batch of green beans, roasted by hand. Popcorn. Incense. Conversation. Around an hour.
What it is
The Ethiopian coffee ceremony as it has been performed for centuries — and as Eskedar's family still performs it three times a day in Ethiopia. Green beans roasted in front of you. Ground by hand. Brewed in a clay jebena. Served in three rounds — abol, tona, and bereka — with popcorn and frankincense.
